RUBBER COMPOUNDS

At Grupo Elastorsa, we actively participate in the technical and industrial progress to which rubber has contributed through the formulation of composites based on both Technical Elastomers and High Performance Elastomers. We carry out this task following high-quality criteria and the use of cutting-edge technologies to satisfy the needs of our clients in a personalised way. Grupo Elastorsa designs and manufactures both black and coloured compounds for different application and usage segments.

TECHNICAL ELASTOMER

EPDM

Excellent resistance to weathering, ozone, light and water, together with its great versatility, are properties that make EPDM a material suitable for many sectors, including automotive and transport. It is also a perfect elastomer for the construction sector, used in profiling and insulation as well as in the energy and industrial sectors.

DESCRIPTION Styrene butadiene
TRANSFORMATION Compression, Injection, Calendering and Extrusion
MAIN APPLICATIONS Automotive and Industrial

IIR

Excellent impermeability to gases, coupled with resistance to ozone and ageing, make IIR a perfect elastomer for use in sporting equipment (climbing shoes), industry (gloves and gas masks) and even in the health or cosmetic sector (droplet dispensers).

HARDNESS RANGE 40 - 90
DESCRIPTION Butyl
TRANSFORMATION Compression, Injection, Calendering and Extrusion
MAIN APPLICATIONS Tyres, Pharmaceuticals, Industry and Sports Equipment

NBR

NBR has good adhesion to metals, is resistant to oil, grease and non-polar solvents. It is used effectively in the manufacture of gloves, power supply systems, fluid handling systems, as well as drive belts and automotive seals, among others.

HARDNESS RANGE 40 - 95
DESCRIPTION Butadiene acrylonitrile
TRANSFORMATION Compression, Injection, Calendering and Extrusion
MAIN APPLICATIONS Automotive and Industrial

CR

CR has good mechanical properties, as well as resistance to fire, ozone, weather and water. Its application sectors include industry, in the manufacture of sealing gaskets and coatings; automotive for drive belts and bellows; and infrastructure, in supports and seals for bridges and viaducts.

HARDNESS RANGE 30 - 95
DESCRIPTION Polychloroprene
TRANSFORMATION Compression, Injection, Calendering and Extrusion
MAIN APPLICATIONS Automotive, Industrial and Infrastructures

HIGH PERFORMANCE ELASTOMER

HNBR

HNBR has a high resistance to oil, ozone and high temperatures, making it the perfect choice for static and dynamic seals, automotive hoses, as well as seals and drive belts for other industries. The oil and gas industry is another area of use for sealing gaskets.

HARDNESS RANGE 40 - 95
DESCRIPTION Acrylonitrile Hydrogenated Nitrile
TRANSFORMATION Compression, Injection, Calendering and Extrusion

ACM

ACM's resistance to high temperature oils and ozone makes it ideal for applications in contact with fuels, lubricants and other hydraulic fluids.

HARDNESS RANGE 40 - 90
DESCRIPTION Polyacrylic
TRANSFORMATION Compression, Injection and Extrusion
MAIN APPLICATIONS Automotive and Industrial

FKM

FKM has exceptional resistance to chemicals, ozone and very high temperatures (up to 220 °C), making it the perfect elastomer for the aerospace and automotive industries (fuel lines and O-rings) as well as the chemical industry.

HARDNESS RANGE 60 - 90
DESCRIPTION Fluoroelastomer
TRANSFORMATION Compression, Injection, Calendering and Extrusion
MAIN APPLICATIONS Automotive, Industrial & Food

ECO

ECO is highly-resistant to fuels, weathering, ozone and low temperatures, making it suitable for the manufacture of fuel seals, diaphragms and fuel pipes. The low permeability of homopolymers makes them particularly suitable for hoses and air conditioning equipment.

HARDNESS RANGE 50 - 90
DESCRIPTION Epichlorhydrin
TRANSFORMATION Compression, Injection and Extrusion
MAIN APPLICATIONS Automotive and Industrial

CSM

Resistance to flammability, ozone and chemicals makes CSM a useful elastomer in the manufacture of seals, coatings and technical gloves. It is commonly used for waterproofing and paving in construction and the chemical industry.

Due to its high UV resistance, it allows for greater stability in the manufacture of colour compounds.

HARDNESS RANGE 45 - 100
